Similar experience was with Back to Black just a pure vanillin aroma :(. Angels Share to me is like a bad boyfriend - you know hes no good for you but you cant enough and still want more and more until youre sick of it! I received this Kilian perfume complimentary from Influenster to review. That I really see, and it's why this doesn't come across as boozy for me at all. Be careful taking it out of the box, I didn't realize the lid was on the bottom of the box and I dropped my bottle and broke the bottom, So surprised to see many people loving it. Overrated and not worth the price they're asking, I'd rather reach for something like Carlisle, Herod or Side Effect. doesnt smell sweet either, Smells like a sweet sexy dessert to me lol, First time when I tried it- I kinda liked it. I sprayed it twice and the cognac hit me but then it got soft and became sweet, creamy and a bit spicy. TO MY NOSE, this smells like the love child of Ambre Narguile and Gucci Pour Homme II. Im here to advice you: dont blind buy it, this does NOT smell like apple pie. I smell the mixture of fruit and spices, but I don't get any of the crust. I had to really think on it but then I finally concluded that this smells a lot like Herod and 1 Million Prive in some ways. I get spicy, boozy, and sweet. It smells soooo delicious, it is perfect for a fall/winter scent. I got the travel size but will get the full sized one for sure but the travel sized are great to explore a scent. it's so fucking beautiful. Sweet and very gourmand. So stunnin! Such an utter disappointment. Very classy and refined. I Don't Need A Prince By My Side To Be A Princess. Opens up with a blast of cognac and cinnamon/praline. Would have loved to smell more of the cognac and tonka. Nice but been done before and for way cheaper. I have Kayali amber 23 and they don't smell similar to me. It's the 1st day i have it. First impressions: Wow. It is sweet, almost too sweet and the cinnamon was choking me. I smell like I took a bath with the most expensive soap in a luxury hotel. they share some notes & vibe similarly but this was so much sweeter and gourmand than invite only. Why would any perfumer waste away the opportunity to create a luxurious cognac-themed fragrance and instead opt for a 5 brioche theme is beyond me. So glad I gave this another try.
If I had to only wear one thing for the rest of my life this would be it. If you have Ellis Brooklyn Sweet, it's very similar to that but with added cinnamon and a fruit that resembles apple or pear. From the packaging, to the way the bottle feels in hand to the beautiful aroma. Super comforting, rich, and treacly sweet like being pleasantly drunk. I luckily decided on a decant instead. When I first sprayed this on my skin it was lighter, a little spiced, powdery, and vanilla. I love my syrupy gooey gooey golden juices and this is no exception. Angels share opens with heavy cognac and very dry cinnamon. The scent trails for this are so.. One of Kilian's best fragrances, in my opinion. The packing and beautiful glass container really give Angels Share a luxurious feel. Slightly sweet, warm, slightly spicy like cinnamon or other sweet spices. As it dried down, I would get whiffs of it and think, "what is that delicious smell? For those that love it, I suspect it will be one of those "can't stop smelling myself" types of fragrances. Cognac up top, Cinnamon at the heart and a gorgeous Praline shines at the base when it dries down. But I had to..couldn't live without it. The notes say it all. This was definitely one of thems that made me grasp. It's PdM Oajan through and through. Starts off a little like oajan. Extremely over-hyped. Like others have mentioned, it's a boozy pie filling scent with notes of woodiness after the rain to elevate it to a perfume. Sure, there is a LITTLE woodiness in there, but I do not really smell woodiness very prominently at all, and I prefer it that way. The best thing Ive ever smelled! What a gorgeous scent! The burnt caramel is far easier to deal with than the dentist office smell, thankfully.). Also, yes, this is VERY similar to Oajan by Parfums de Marly, almost identical, but Oajan has a patchouli base which makes it a little louder and sometimes overwhelming for me, but Angels is just perfect for my liking. I'd drink something that smells this amazing but wouldn't wear it as a perfume. I dont get too much of the tonka bean, all the other notes are blended so well it can be hard to point out if Im smelling sandalwood or oak lol. Price point would be sexier at like $120 given the size but sometimes you have to pay for quality. Marissa Zappas Announces A New Collection + A Giveaway! I love this!!
the smell of cognac in the very beginning is so prominent i feel like i just walked into a private member's 100 year old club with leather seats and old paintings! I was really wishing it would be that heady, rich, opulent and gourmand boozy treat it promises to be. on my skin it smells sticky and sweet like a cinnamon/sugar sweet but I did get the cognac vibe. It's not a bad scent but I would 100% prefer it if it stayed smelling like that initial sweet apple pie instead. It's warm, cinnamony, creamy, nutty, spicy and inviting. Something about this perfume just smells stale and musty to me. I'm also smelling mostly aroma chemicals and not a lot of naturals, for the price tag I would've liked to have a good balance between the two. I believe its the oak and tonka bean giving that impression. Feels plasticy, and looks duller where the photos make it seem really crystal like. I love this fragrance fall and winter night out scent. Gosh this one is something! Dry cinnamon. This fragrance also has the added benefit of being a unisex fragrance. The scent is slightly sweet and warm while also being deep and woodsy. Inoffensive + definitely unisex. This is one that I keep coming back to. Just try this once and youll be hooked! It greets me with warmth and spice from the cinnamon and cognac, then it gives a bit of that apple pie goodness with sweet vanilla, and finishes off with a note of sandalwood. I went at the discovery of the most hyped perfumes & I must say that it's one of the best scents I have smelled until so far. My SIL who hates strong powerful perfumes and sticks to lighter, airier dainty ones, happened to love this. smells HEAVILY of cinnamon, like the pinecones during the holiday season. This straight up smells like apple pie, it's lovely. Then you smell it again, love it all over again then hate it again and the cycle continues! It smells like a warm cinnamon babka drizzled with sweet caramel. Definitely a fall/winter scent but it's so good that I would just wear this whenever. Im happy to have added this to my collection as I dont personally own anything that smells like it. I literally just sprayed this but I have to share my first impression. Love days like this when your scent is on fire getting compliments left and right. What spoils it all for me is the super aggro cognac top note. You are welcome!! there is a reason every candle wants to smell a certain way, angel's share is a great take on edible gourmand powder fragrances. Boozy sweet whisky with a woody and cinnamon backbone with a touch of anise. The cinnamon, cognac and tonka really shine in this fragrance. Definitely an unisex and cold weather scent. It definitely does, but its an apple pie in which someone added an entire container of cinnamon. Wearing it for a second time today and I'm in love. This one was really weird. Fruity, sweet cognac and cinnamon. It can be a cuddle fragrance or used in a moment where youll be close to another person. Perfumes are one of my favorite things, I collect and change up what I wear daily. It does however last FOREVER on my skin! I bought the dupe oil from APO. I cannot stop smelling my arm. Luckily it was wintertime and the fragrance just enveloped my body and my senses like a blanket covered candied apples and brandy. Strong cognac, vanilla and cinnamon notes. GPH2 was heavenly but too weak.
Is Angels' Share in the family of the other Angels? I'm not sure it last as long as Mica d'Oro but it's a great dupe. It's not very complex, nor does it remind me of booze in anyway. Ambre Narguile smelled nice but was too transparent. Thats what it smells like. Glad I tried this and didn't just blind buy, man the bottle looks beautiful in pictures but it's not as nice in real life. Let me list the ways i love Angels Share! This sounds like i need to get my hands on it expeditiously *TI voice*. Wow, strong apple booze with cinnamon. I enjoyed my sample a lot, could smell it all day, even through moving around a lot at work, and it smells really nice. I told him what it was and asked if I had too much on and he said not at all. Definitely not buying that again. I wouldnt change a thing about this fragrance. If Cozy was bottle up it would be this better than your favorite pair of leggings & hoodie, more cozy than a down comforter on a snow day. This has a delicious boozy cinnamon-apple-pie beginning that is really fantastic, but it's gone in a flash. I get the apple pie references but I dont smell so much apple. Umema: The Perfume That'll Never Be Smelled, Carner Barcelona - the Summer Journey Collection, Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal Pour Homme Le Parfum, WPC: Interview With Alexandre Illan, Perfumer of the Rammstein Line and More, Marc Jacobs Daisy Ever So Fresh Eau de Parfum. Powdery. Super sexy and intoxicating (think femme fatale) - I'm obsessed! I need a full bottle. But Angel's Share took me by surprise. It needs more of a wooden cask note or incense to be balanced. Just purchased today from Sephora & as soon as I sprayed it on my wrist, my eyes opened wide asf. You either love it or you hate it. Great winter scent. I was hesitant to try it because I don't like dark liquor in my cocktails or in my perfume, but here the booziness is so subtle and blends in beautifully with the other notes. You CANT drink it. What a day with this fragrance today! Absolutely heavenly smell. I've had perfumes where Ive worn them and not liked them at all but the burning smell from these made me feel Sick and Gag too and I like scents with a bit of dark smokiness. This differently will last on your sling the whole work shift. This has depth and character, its very unique and one the of most gorgeous concoctions Ive ever put my nose on. Very unique and worth the price tag for what im getting! Its a very sweet smooth boozy apple pie. But its not to a point where its overwhelming and pure alcohol. Smells exactly like a food called Haw Flakes made from the fruit Hawthorn. This fragrance reminds me of a cinnamon crumb cake mixed with a snickerdoodle. I reached a milestone yesterday and immediately went to Sephora to purchase this. It's like eating warm boozy dessert inside somewhere cozy/fancy on a cold dark rainy Winter night. Fire! Projects like crazy and lasts long. Well this is a true gourmand! I kept smelling my shirt, it is so yummy! :). Its perfect for fall and winter. This the cognac chocolate I hated eating as a kid but absolutely love smelling now. On my skin on initial spray this smells like a super sweet delicious juicy apple pie however on the dry down all of that sweetness goes away and I'm left with a smoky woody cinnamon scent which pulls a little too masculine for my taste. A few weeks later I actually think it's quite nice. Kinda reminds me of a mash up of Armani Stronger with You and Boss Bottled Intense but amped up to cloying levels. It smells a little bit toasy or burnt, and I mean that in the good way. Although I really do enjoy this perfume, I would not spend that much cash on the full bottle. (Side note, this burnt caramel is like a milder version of the dentist office smell that I smell in BR540 and Burberry Her. I love it SO much! The opening is very boozy and warm. Also, a great base scent to layer over. Im talking fresh out of the oven caramel apple pie. Woody cinnamon vs sawdust in biting cold. Its strong, with staying power but not overwhelming or overpowering. I normally don't like boozy notes at all, but this is a really well-blended mix with the sweetness and warm spices accompanying it. Just for that its going to be in my top 5 for life. So beautiful! Beautifully done! I'm torn between this and Replicas "Coffee Break". This fragrance is such a gorgeous experience. It smells good but I couldnt handle smelling this on myself all day - its extremely sweet. A good one, that is. If someone gave me a decant as a gift I wouldn't turn it down though, haha. The whole "apple pie" aspect of the scent is the combo of Tonka ( cumarin) and cinnamon. I am new to the fragrance world and today I tried this one. It is rich and luxurious but also uplifting. This is a cooler weather scent to me but I cannot stop spraying it right now. I thought this was going to be warm sweet instead of fresh sweet.
