Im glad I got a sample because this is not bottle worthy for me. This scent is perfect for every day- it smells clean yet still warm and inviting. I think it's way overpriced; I'm sure there are plenty of floral perfumes out there that smell similar. For a perfume to be called "Perfect", I would expect nothing but perfection in a bottle but then the problem comes when one realizes that perfection is subjective, because what I may find perfect for me may be light years from what's considered perfect for others. love it! This smells gorgeous to my nose on paper but on my skin, it turnsI don't know how to describe it, maybe funky is the right word? It honestly reminds me of a certain shampoo or body wash I've had before (can't remember which one though). Its now my signature day fragrance. It has ruined a LOT of otherwise perfect scents for me.). The floral keeps it fresh, although the woodiness never really comes through. I like the original perfect as well but I dont believe it would last extremely long. Its a bust for me and my conclusion is its a unique scent from the designer world anyways, smelled great on paper but imo smells way better on paper than on skin, on skin it smells different and for me it didnt have any sillage and lasted but a few hours on skin digging my nose into it, before it was complete gone. (The rhubarb note should of been kept I think its what made perfect..perfect.). It's not how I remember it being. starts off pleasantly fruity and sweet, but definitely nothing new. WOW this is much nicer than the original! In terms of longevity, I put it on at around 5 on, its currently 8:23 and it has softened up quite a bit. It feels like casual elegance, and could easily slip into being one of my signature scents. I love this one, it's much richer than the original. MIDDLE NOTES: Roasted Almonds good for everyday, but I wouldnt spend money on it, normal perfect is my signature and favorite perfume so i had high expectations. Overall its a crowd pleaser, but it needs fixing and then some serious tuning - not the latest chemical wash autotuning, but a real tuning - by a skilled Nose, who wont quickly patch the gaps with the usual cheap industrial solvents (which the market overflows with and all recent formulas and some remakes are soaked in, for quite sometime now). I do get a bit of the original but with a bit more sophistication behind it, if you get what I mean? Call it Milk and Honey, or something like that,, put a cute Indian elephant and a tiny Taj Mahal on the top and I bet it will stay sold out. I thought I was crazy because I was smelling popcorn in it, but now I see that others do as well. FREE SHIPPING on all orders purchased with your Military Star Card or orders totaling $49 or more. That was instantly where my brain went and then right to nope. Within minutes the sharp floral softens to a far-away hint of carnations on an early-morning walk. Can people stop voting it as intimate, weak male and overpriced when you haven't even smelled it..? It's not unpleasant, but it's hay. Unfortunately, this didnt live up to the original in my opinion and becomes way more floral than I wanted. It is a pleasant and very yummy scent, but I can't get over thinking I'd smell like pretty much straight creamy melon jolly rancher (if they had one). The original is fresher and better. now, perfect intense invites you to share and celebrate your individuality with confidence and cheer. If it did, that would make this perfume to strong and unwearable. Dominant note to my nose is definitely daffodil as I do get this intense "hay" accord upon spraying, but it dries down to a pretty almond scent. **. It's creamy and strong enough to where you don't need too many sprays and will last a while. I smelled this on my sister when we went to Sephora to check out new perfumes, and I almost cried. The original perfect campaign called for self-love and self-expression. Clean everyday scent nothing groundbreaking I get the body wash comparisons people are referring too, but i would say this is nice for spring, summer when u have just taken a shower and want to smell synthetically clean. nothing groundbreaking, but not everything needs to be groundbreaking tbh. No tuberose, its sweeter and I love the almond note. I liked the floral opening, but after drydown I just smell the almond with a faint hint of sweetness. Frivolous, fruity and fun. I love this because I love and own the OG. Suggested Monthly Payment: Valentino Donna Born In Roma Coral Fantasy, Marc Jacobs Daisy Ever So Fresh Eau de Parfum, New Magnolias This Summer (2022): L'Eau D'Issey Eau & Magnolia, Miu Miu Twist Eau de Magnolia, and Beautiful Magnolia Intense Estee Lauder. There was promise in the initial spray, bright florals, however it quickly turned into plain lightly toasted almonds. It lasts on me around 4 hours and has a moderate sillage. Maybe as I get used to this one I could potentially spray more, but for now, nope I'm good. I love both but this oneI got last night and couldnt stop sniffing myself . However, for those who do, this is a good, warm, comforting scent for the fall. totally worth it if you buy it on discount due to the high price it has. Then, I went to the store specifically to smell the Intense version, and I was underwhelmed. Aroma by Costa Brazil: Candidate For Best Fragrance 2022? Lasts 2-4 hours and sits close to the skin. Perfect smelled way too synthetic for my taste, I think the rhubarb - narcissus combo put me off and I wasn't a fan of the cashmeran base either. To me this smells very generic, like a shampoo. Disappointing. On me, this thing is an absolute beast -- I can smell it at arm's length even twelve hours on -- but that last hour-ish is tainted with oakmoss that makes it hard to enjoy. It smells like Sunflowers by EA with nutritional yeast. This is delicious. Yet another, not very original, yellow floral with a hint of sandalwood in the dry down. This starts out floral screechy. Started out as generic white floral but the almond quickly added in just the right something to make it special. There's just some kind of alchemy that happens with my skin. Unabashedly bold with a refined quality, perfumer Domitlle Michalon-Bertier of IFF evolved and intensified the perfect olfactive and created an alluring new companion fragrance that radiates confidence and celebrates originality. Yes, the intensity, silage, and longevity, beats the original but what I loved about that one was the delicate and versatile scent. Mostly pleasant. This gets only a 5/10 , I accidentally bought this one (30 ml) instead of the original. (I got a complimentary sample from Influenster to test & review), I was able to snag a sample off eBay.. the immediate blast of this is definitely more intensified and sweeter than the original the almond is the star note; and feel this has an added warmth to carry you into the fall. Perfect for any age that's looking for something pleasant, simple, and has good performance. I purchased the bottle 2 days later! Surprisingly warm and gourmand. And trust me!! . it radiates well. Perfect Intense by Marc Jacobs is a Amber Floral fragrance for women. Ive never been a fan of Marc jacobs scents but this one was different. After testing this out for a few days I like this but dont love it. It was around 65 degrees if that helps, maybe it would preform better in colder temps? At first I fell in love with the sharp jasmine note. This is fresh, juicy, sweet. Bright daffodil is magnified by the elegance of night blooming jasmine. Honestly not even close to being long lasting or having any sort of projection at all. All I get is Dove body wash with a hint of almond. Lovely almond fragrance, with heavy musky tones I believe come from the sandalwood. This one is slightly more grown up. I want to love this perfume so badddd! Smells very similar to the original. In reading all the reviews, I agree that I if I think about it, I can smell the banana, sesame seed thing going on, but I have to think about that while sniffing it. By choosing a Pay Your Way financing plan you are opting out of any promotional 0% finance offers your purchase may qualify to receive. Smell like bananas and flowers, nice and playful. Initial spray I was surprised to get a strangely tropical scent, I was convinced coconut or Tiare flower was in here but nope! This is a new fragrance. I was given two large samples of this today and omg its beautiful. I read some comments about the Intense version being more gourmand than the original so I am impatient to try it on my skin. Fragrance Reviews: 1,286,791 It doesnt smell expensive or haute couture or complex in any way. A little too much floral that my mom who is allergic to pollen started sneezing when she sprayed it. Somehow smells just like an almond cookie; Im surprised theres no vanilla note, because thats mostly what i smell. I actually sought out this sample because I love the smell of banana. A pastry-like scent which nonetheless does not have that nauseating "sugar" overload that causes me headache, nor the fruitiness that permeates so many gourmand. Its nothing like the original Perfect, no sweetness, nothing pretty.. just very strong and kind of bitter and there's a fishy cold metallic note like in J'adore that I hate and have noticed in quite a lot of perfumes, maybe it is the combination of amber with florals? Pair this with Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 62 spray or perfume, or even the Cheirosa 71 spray ( the white chocolate macadamia one ) and it's GUARANTEED to illicit even just ONE compliment. All I get from this is Pert Plus shampoo and bug spray.. The background notes are interesting- nutty and sweet, but it stays screechy to me. I think I prefer the original 'Perfect' over this. Oddly enough, (must be my chemistry) I don't get almond from it either. I still love it, obviously, but I do have to keep in mind that twelve hours from application, I'm going to need to scrub my arm pretty hard to keep from dealing with Oakmoss Funk. Also does not last long, about 2 hrs on me. I would've given this fragrance it's own name. I think I actually like the original better, as the lightness pairs better with the scent, but the banana opening lasts much longer with this Intense version. Nothing out shines Perfect, but I love this fragrance, too. I get a watery pear with a hint of almond. I had no real expectations at first but this is a almond floral sweet scent. It's def very heavy on the jasmine It's a very bright, clean jasmine scent not cloying and heavy. At that point I really regretted spraying it on my skin, but if I hadnt I wouldnt have been able to experience the drydown which, thankfully, is a lot nicer. It's not bad, I imagine this on a older woman. Has much more almond than the original, but not as much almond as Xerjoff Italica, or other strong almond fragrances. Beautiful, smooth and creamy almond scent. My skin looooves darker, deeper, spicier scents, so I like to use those to give lighter scents some teeth. I just can't stop smelling it!! That sharp bug spray-y note hanging in the background with the shampoo vibes coming through at first sniff. Kept going back and knew I was in it's thrall. Its gone by 3 hours. Its sweet and tropical but still has that slightly green edge. Existing cardholders should see their credit card agreement for applicable terms. The result is a lavish collage of portraits and vignettes that highlight the contrasting beauty of the cast and showcase their unique, distinctive personalities through meaningful #perfectasiam storytelling stills and video. I can see this being easily too overpowering. You know? The Intense also has a more interesting drydownI get a richer, honeyed vibebasically it is 100% a perfect "Intense" version of the original. As of July 28, 2022, a variable 12.49%APR applies to non-promotional purchases, and a variable 20.49%APR applies to accounts subject to penalty APR. I do funny enough get the slight banana reference, its playful. It's strong in this one. Cheap, headache inducing and bad. I like this scent until the cashmeran note hits me (which is listed in perfect, but not perfect intense) and I wonder what happened to the nutty, poisonous, fruity and narcissus fragrance that it was before. inside, the juice is presented in a soft champagne-colored hue, reminiscent of vintage perfumery. If the formula even stands too close to a vial of oakmoss for five minutes, it will amp up on me and turn into something that can only be described as *swamp butt* on my skin. - a note from the brand. Smells like a candied melon doused with a heavy helping of almond cream on top. Maybe it was just a psychological allergic reaction but that was my experience. Synthetic jasmine, with a synthetic nutty note (bordering the sweet burning yeast smell from your toast with old sesame seeds caught in the toaster tray), insufficiently balanced by the sandalwood in order to achieve the feel of coherent creation. Come to find out he got the intense instead of the original! for the life of me, I don't get any almonds in this, but that could just be me?? A must try for lovers of gourmand and almond scents. This still smells perfumey, and is very very sweet. Tested this and the original at the store today - wasnt keen on the original either but I absolutely hated this when I first sprayed it - to me the opening smells of pure ammonia?! However this truly smells like a banana shampoo. Definitely more my vibe with the almond and sandalwood. The almond stays throughout the whole day, which I love with the sandalwood. I wish the pink pepper was a little more noticeable, but maybe thats just how its sitting on my skin. Perhaps not for the type of person that takes life too seriously makes me think of Cyndi Lauper in the video for Girls Just Want To Have Fun. Nothing overly distinctive. Too linear. This is gourmand for me and I would keep it for winter. This is one of those scents that a young woman whos not into perfume would love to receive as a gift. This is a big miss. Again tested on a strip not on me. I'm intrigued by the average reviews for this one. Smells really lotiony like the body shop lotions. BASE NOTES: Sandalwood Well I've gone on to now buy this intense version in a 50ml while the original is still a purse spray. The fixed monthly payment will be rounded to the next cent. I dont love it. Decent longevity. The new print and digital campaign is a joyful illustration of authentic originality - with a touch of golden glamour. I don't get the banana note mentioned by some..I do get a slight hint of powdered sugar spongy banana sweets after about 30 mins. Super delicious. I think it's the sesame that is making people reminisce about buttered popcorn. I tried it with my best friend and we have totally different chemistry, perfumes work totally different on us. I can tell I'll wear this a lot, and frankly, the bottle rocks my world. For me, it is a really good Fall fragrance! But its just comforting. I am not usually a huge fan of Marc Jacobs, as I find them to lack uniqueness. After a bit the jasmine comes in, but not as strong as the daffodil. The problem is its name. I wonder if they reformulated this??? Complementary to the bottle, the outer packaging is outfitted in luxe gold, black, and a burst of bright yellow for a timeless feel. The sesame and almond are immediately the dominant notes. But after about 15-20 minutes, this fades away and the creamy almond takes over in the most beautiful way. plus the bottle is cute, Disappointing. I love this so much, starchy Geen bananas and tropical holiday. Personally, this scent isn't for me as I didn't enjoy the smell of almonds on my skin. When I first smelled this at Macys in the mall I fell in love. Other than the performance, the fragrance itself is amazing. I still prefer the normal Perfect perfume by Marc Jacobs because of the sweetness but I am happy that this lasts longer. The almond isnt fluffy or powdery - more like fruit-syrup. MILITARY STAR promotions subject to credit approval. On paper this is fairly strong and has impressive longevity. Fragrantica Inc, United States. Perfume rating3.75out of5 with564 votes. I really love Perfect Intense. Smooth, gourmand and creamy. To me, it smelled like my childhood, and like growing up but not losing my innocence. I'm not getting sandalwood at all. Ok so I've tried this one out a few times now! It could definitely be a signature fragrance through all seasons. The intense version is okay, but I'm not in love with it. I like it even better than Perfect original which is more of a summer perfume. I also have the original Perfect which I just love. No official Department of Defense endorsement implied by use of external links or commercial advertising. It is also a complete departure from the original Perfect, a sharp and fruity floral. I honestly yearn to smell something that isnt laced with ambroxan or iso super e or evernyl or any of their earlier or latest friends. #MJPerfect #PerfectAsIAm. Tested this for a few days now and wow this is beautifully done for a MJ perfume. Lol is it bad that I kind of love it? A new icon in the perfect portfolio, perfect intense is a rich, golden, irresistible scent that celebrates unapologetic self-expression. Prominent almond, not overly heavy as its kept rather fresh by some classic MJ florals. I can see a lot of people liking this though. But Intense? In my opinion, a flanker wasn't really needed at this time. Smelled in store, surprisingly nice for a Marc jacobs smell. This was a bit of an impulsive blind-buy for me, and not one I regret, but I do prefer the original. Wasn't expecting it but I love it! It is a deeper and less sweet scent to me which makes it more sophisticated and womanly in my opinion but at least it lasts a lot longer than the original perfect perfumes does. I got a popcorn kind of smell on my skin mixed with the OG. I also smelled the original perfect and it reminded me of a nice shampoo. Just purse sprays. Personally I think this smells like Banana lol. I think the jasmine in this actually smells very similar to gardenia. This, on me, is a unique, "oooh, what is she wearing?" It of course has a predominantly sweet vibe, but I also feel like its a little salty too. I get a hint of almond but to me its mostly milky jasmin tea. This is her grown up, high society older sister thats always been described as mature for her age, maybe even an old soul. It is still on the safe side though, but this one is unique enough to be signature worthy. Sometimes runts banana lollies. I also don't like the original Daisy as it's too floral. A warm sesame honey almond. I expected it to have slightly more depth from the sandalwood and almond notes. i mean i guess it has some notes similar to original perfect but i still dont like it. Try it. I like the opening, but from then on its stages of development are very disjointed. Like the original fragrance that launched globally in july 2020, perfect intense is inspired by marc jacobs personal mantra: I am perfect as I am, which is symbolized by a tattoo of the word perfect on his wrist. It is definitely a floral scent. My sister purchased a full sized bottle for me. MJ fragrances are certainly highly priced but most I smell I love and this is no exception! Perfume lovers: 792,162 (would love it if they anded a banana frangrance). Marc Jacobs is SO good at flankers that are similar but with a tiny change. Perfect Intense is really comforting and girly without being too chemically and artificial like the OG, at least on my skin. 4 sprays (one on clavicle, one on back of neck, one on each arm) is enough!! The fragrance opens with juicy notes of rhubarb and bright daffodil that reveal a comforting heart of almond milk. The Perfect Intense design is a chic reinterpretation of the original perfect bottle. I'm hoping for a shower gel or body lotion/cream because sometimes those forms of a fragrance turn out much better smelling on my skin than the actual perfume--I find that true for the OG Perfect. This perfume is weird, it smells like sweet sesame oil. I smelled this in store on a test strip not expecting much and was intrigued. This one is an exception - it is horrible on both of us. If you aren't big on sandalwood, steer away! Much more gourmand and unique. It starts with an audacious bang then turns playful and soothing. I actually really enjoy this one! One spray is more than enough. Worth a shot if you really like the scent but for me the scent wasnt amazing that Ill probably take a second look. It honestly makes me a bit hungry! Science Says Maybe, From the Gardens of Versailles to the Gardens of Babylon; The Allure of Olfactory Exploration Beckons at Jardin de Parfums, Priceless Perfume Bottles: An Auction of Poetry in Glass, The Ghost Perfumer by Gabe Oppenheim: on Creed & The Industry, a Book Review. Oddly, it actually kind of reminds me of Versace Crystal Noir minus the spicy notes in that one (the white floral note in this is very similar to the white floral note in that one). It reminds me of that same sparkling note that I get from Daisy, not sure what exactly it is but wow its nice! I bet if you already have a favorite Marc Jacobs perfume, you'll like this. Def smells like banana. Which isn't a bad thing, just not quite what I expected based on the notes. I just love it! I find it so interesting that people who've reviewed before me are saying, "banana", "melon", "hay". So I sprayed it on my skin and it was way different!! I thought that the popcorn smell coming from the popcorn stand at the mall was permeating the Macy's store, but this perfume actually smells like a mixture of popcorn and something else. Intensely floral, slightly almondy, and a beautiful sandalwood scent. I love sesame oil, but not on my skin sadly, this is a hard pass for me! The nose behind this fragrance is Domitille Michalon Bertier. This kinda gets me in the throat. I really liked the opening on my skin but after a while something in the almond note didnt agree with me; it felt stale or off somehow and made me a little queasy and I had to wash it off. Online right now: 2,695, Fragrantica in your language: It's very sexy and unique. It is nice to pair this perfume with that body mist for a stronger sillage and lasting power. Unless it was much creamier and even more full bodied banana with a richer deeper dry down. I just love this type of scent, even if this is kind of basic. This will be my weirdest review so far. This is a very nice warm sweet banana smell with some florale and amber/vanilla. Shipping/handling fees may be applied to oversized items. Ive never been a fan of anything theyve brought out but this one surprised me. the comparisons to scented body wash are pretty accurate. Just nuts, no depth and it disappears in 30 minutes or less even with 4 sprays on one spot. So Im not sure if when I wear it the banana note will be present. I have a seriously weird body chemistry. Nice though for what it is, made me feel cosy, would consider buying if I didnt have girl of now original and shine, but for an almond scent they definitely top this one, longevity AND scent wise. Someone told me it smelled like banana and I was like "WHAT! Im glad I didnt buy it though and instead bought a carded sample from someone online because I sprayed basically the whole 2ml sample I had on me and my clothes and I could only smell it for 15 mins or less and I even then it wasnt very strong in that 15 mins either and smelled a lot different to my nose than it did on the strip. Just something to throw on before you leave the house. The opening gives me sweet milky almond, fruity green floral, drying down I get more hay and wood. This is just a little too sharp for my nose and I think there are better versions of this smell. but i went and smelled it again and it definitely smells like banana lol. All I did was one spray on my left hand. Has a powdery dry down, good staying power and a fun bottle. Cant wait to add the full bottle to my collection. I absolutely ADORE the original! Perfect Intense was launched in 2021. It smells yummy but still smells like a perfume. Sassy, but sweet. Both "Perfects" are giving me a headache. Smoky/toasted nuttiness on a floral background, with some slight sweetness. Perfect Intense is like Perfect, just stripped of the fruity florals, which means I'm not that interested in it. Its fresh and sweet at the same time, This one smells like a warm banana, no joke! Like the original, it has a clean quality to it, almost soapy like, or shampooy, but this goes the extra step and introduces a grounding base to it in the sandalwood. It smells like sweet, warm, almond milk, and I think that it's a cute, youthful scent.
